Well, we’re talking about Deus Ex: Mankind Divided again . Still, you wanted a continuation (but it’s unclear who put the downvotes), and I can’t refuse you in this case. Let’s not hesitate, and by the way, there will be SPOILERS FOR THE GAME, but now let’s begin!

13. Palisade Bank

Palisade Bank is one of the most mysterious places, because it is there that corporate secrets are kept. And the composition above refers to a mission that can be completed instead of “rescuing” Alison Stanekova. The composition at the beginning exudes mystery, someone’s voices are heard, but only as echoes. Whispers are also heard. And the calm melody gives way to ambient for stealth. According to the old scheme, the electronic drum elements sound louder than the synthesizers, but instead of the established transition into an energetic motive, we are transported as if to the beginning of the composition. And suddenly the electronic drums begin to sound quieter than the synthesizers and voices, becoming more distinct and louder. Then there is a transition and again, the drum part sounds louder than the synthesizers, but again leaves without proper development. And on this note the composition itself ends, which makes us understand that we have not learned all the secrets of this place.

14. Machine God

If during the passage you chose Alison, then you most likely heard the track above. And also, you know that the mission takes place in the “Church of the Machine God”. Therefore, at first we hear church motifs: singing voices, noises coming from outside and the reverberation effect. The composition begins to fade away, when suddenly a guitar sounds, albeit under some effects. Only part of the drums starts playing, without the kicks, and then one of the kicks. The composition begins to pick up the pace and add kick drums and a more sonorous sound. And then the wildest action begins! The choir has already disappeared, they probably fled after the shots, only the synthesizers remained. The noise from the street is also gone. But then, the drums pacify, because the hero has reached Alison, everything gradually calms down and with one kick of the barrel, the composition with the added choir begins to subside.

15. G.A.R.M.

Alaska… What do you associate with it?? Clearly not a secret military base. And despite this, the composition on this basis begins in a major key, but then moves into a minor key. Sounds like an alarm in the background. And so, Jensen count in G.A.R.Meh. The mystery has disappeared, we know that it is not the ice that is being disposed of inside. For some time the composition stands still until it goes into a calmer stage and the feeling that something very, very, very bad will happen soon, and… But there are no drums. There is only a threatening sound of a synthesizer approaching us and it breaks off before it can reach us.

16. Martial Law

Martial law was introduced in Prague, which https://casinolustcasino.co.uk/withdrawal/ is what this composition is dedicated to. At the beginning, bells sound as if the curfew has arrived. Quiet synthesizers sound. They gradually start to get louder and now Jensen is outside, where it is dark, wet and unsafe. The music is mostly alarming, and then it is interrupted… To play even more energetically! Next, calm again, Jensen took refuge somewhere, but not for long. Alarming motives arise again, the sounds get closer and closer and fade away, the main motive begins to play a little faster and ends. Jensen, flew to London. But, unlike Adam, we will not stay in Prague for long.

17. Prague

Prague changed after the incident, and after Ružička. And the composition begins with a sharp sound similar to either a shot or an explosion. A low, gloomy melody plays in the background, but also a high-pitched melody is barely audible, followed by a whisper. Afterwards there is a sound effect and the choir is already singing: Maybe the above-mentioned “Church of the Machine God”. Everything disappears and the same low voice enters the melody, but with different synthesizers. The city is not friendly to you, Adam. Some melancholy creeps in here and there. The composition becomes a little louder, but sharply adds very clear drums with kicks. The sound becomes choppy and unfinished. The drums leave, but to make way for the synthesizer, which pumps up, so that later we can knock down the door of our apartment with electronic drums. A piercing alarm sounds in the background and the whole composition ends with unknown glitches.

18. The Orchid

"Orchid" – a deadly poison for Augs and not only. In short: it removes the part of the body that is responsible for rejecting augmentations and does not replace it with anything. Adam doesn’t have such a thing, that’s why he survived. And the “Orchid” itself, a dangerous thing, because the antidote for it is stored in a single copy and in one of the most secure banks. The composition begins abruptly and mysteriously. Everything that is known about this thing is strictly classified. Against the background of the drums, but not the kicks, sounds from the factory are heard, with a characteristic reverberation effect. And the reels in the background seem to display a clock that is counting down the time until the death of the test subject, or the target itself. Next, we are interrupted by synthesizers and then there is a transition to a darker part of the composition. It ends and, along with a new synthesizer melody, which foreshadows something, drums with additional bass begin to play. Further, the drums become louder until they cut into the previously sounded synthesizer, only it already leaves and completes the composition.

19. Apex Towers

While we were sorting out the soundtracks of individual things and even cities, Jensen got to the Apex Center, and the next track is named after the latter. The composition begins abruptly and immediately with a cyclic melody. Violins play in the background as the action heats up. And as soon as Jensen walked in, he was already in a war zone. The soundtrack emphasizes this with abrupt sounds and characteristic drums. Later the drums retreat to give way to the already shown synthesizers and violins. The melody fades a little and ends with only one note.

20. Battle for the Future

Marchenko put Adam before a choice: Stop himself, or save the delegates. Delegates are capable of saving the future for Augs, which is Jensen. Some of the drums break through the synthesizers and the track begins to play hastily. Adam needs to hurry. The composition gets louder and fades out abruptly, only to return with different but similar synths. Everything gets louder and the drums again create an atmosphere of intense battle between the “golden masks” and Adam himself. The sounds become louder, noises are added and the drums disappear under the sound of the cymbal (drum). The synthesizers begin to gradually fade away.

So, now, I’ll take a short break, because several tracks at once have nothing to do with the main plot. I wanted to say about the last track, but due to my carelessness, this track turned out to be part of an advertising campaign, or trailers. Yes, I was very stupid and instead of 12, I disassembled 8, but this is only because I considered some of the tracks to be related to the plot, and another track, by mistake, was considered as a composition from the game, and not from the trailer. In general… Bottom line.

Part II | Bottom line

Despite my mistake, the soundtrack is good. It’s one thing to have memorable compositions, but another thing to create a soundtrack that will partially reflect the atmosphere and actions in the plot. Maybe it’s CPGS or something like that, but try listening to the soundtrack first without context, and then with it, and you will see how the plot and compositions are interconnected.

Leave your reviews below, there will be a blog on the next game one of these days, and there will also be a “guest game”, so to speak. Well, I went to write this article.
