Our goal is to provide a built-in network of persons with positive healthy behaviors to encourage one another. Each home is fully furnished with appliances, an equipped kitchen, washer and drier, high speed internet, TV, and pest control. We are committed to providing a quality living environment that residents can feel both comfortable and safe. Furthermore, Stepping Stones connects residents with resources proven to sustain long-term abstinence, often referred to as recovery capital.

Stepping Stones Recovery Homes is to empower individuals by providing safe, and supportive, transitional housing for those seeking stability, whether it’s a fresh start or another attempt at it. Our goal is to help residents rebuild their lives and achieve long-term success, independence, and hope. What stood out to me about them is that they focus on helping each other.

We place great emphasis on the concept of group accountability. It is at the core of our model as it both fosters personal responsibility and allows the house to function orderly. Our recovery homes foster independence – house expenses in the form of “rent” are paid by residents. This covers utilities, drug testing, and the housing itself.

While living in the home, you’ll be active in the community. Transitional housing is temporary housing for the working homeless population and is set up to transition their residents to permanent housing. Approaching 90 days alcohol free and found myself homeless. Trying very hard to avoid temptation to go drink or do whatever I can find. Privileges and responsibility are tied to phases of the Stepping Stones program. These phases are tied to milestones as the resident progresses in his recovery program.

Living in a sober living/halfway house is a great experience that leads to long term sobriety. Our program is $1100 a month and includes everything but food. Stepping Stones of Atlanta is also part of some non-profits that offer scholarships for those seeking treatment. Each New Life House has a dedicated house manager whose responsibility is to ensure the well being of the house occupants. To that end, the residence is alcohol and drug free and each house member participates in its upkeep and operation. New Life House

Each resident is drug tested at least once per week for a wide array of substances. In addition, residents rooms are searched regularly for substances and other paraphernalia. At Stepping Stones we charge $675 – $750 per month for rent as well as a one-time $25 admin fee. In addition, there is a $275 – $500 sober deposit which will be returned to you if you stay sober during your stay with us.

Stepping Stones has zero tolerance for residents using in our homes and will ask residents to leave the house who don’t adhere to the rules outlined in their lodger agreement. Additionally, for those residents on Medication Assisted Treatment, Stepping Stones offers housing and recovery support services in a controlled setting. We offer New Life House Review listings of temporary housing for low income persons. Stepping Stones provides job placement and support. Coaching, resume development, mock interviews, skill assessments; are all components of a new residents’ job search strategy.
